Charles Allan Moe writes:

My mother, Sharon Colleen Salvog (maiden name - Washburn), was living in Anoka County Minnesota during the time of my conception (August 1967). I was born in Coon Rapids hospital in Coon Rapids Minnesota in April of 1968. She was married to a Sherman Salvog and during that time, the rumor goes that she had an affair with a Gary Johnson. It is possible that he is not the biological father but that's what everyone else believes.

I had a few autosomal tests done to prove that I have a different father than my siblings and fortunately, my mother came clean with the truth. A gentlemen by the name of Gary Lee Johnson is my biological father. Best information I have at this point is that he was originally from North Carolina (this makes more sense as I get all kinds of hits along the east coast from Jersey down to the Carolinas. There is a possibility that Gary's mothers side was German. Once I track him down, I should know more.

So the new "mystery" is how does Gary Lee Johnson from North Carolina fit in with the Pidcock name? I'm guessing another affair with a Pidcock (male) and Johnson (female) at some time...unless there is some know name change along the way.

Other results have come in and they confirm (paternal) Anglo-Saxon descent. Apparently, Ancestors of the Pidcocks were originally from the Northern Germany, Denmark, Nederlands area. This group apparently was one of many Anglo-Saxons to travel to the UK and fight the Brits...eventually taking over until the Norman invasion in 1040 AD. Just a little ancient pre Pidcock history in case you were interested...(at least this is what is speculated at this time). Just wanted to let you know and see if you know of any Pidcocks/Pitcocks in the Carolinas and if there is any know connection to the surname of Johnson.
