Please complete the Pidcock / Pitcock Project Participant form and mail it (or email a scanned copy of it) to the Group Administrator . No one will be considered a member of the Pidcock / PITCOCK DNA Project and no work will be done on their behalf by the Group Administrator or volunteers until this agreement is received.

Fill out the registration and kit order form (the Y-25 DNA test is a good choice) for the Pidcock surname project at the familytreeDNA.com website (credit cards accepted) by clicking this link or the "2. OrderY-25 DNA Kit" link to the left. If you and the administrator have agreed upon financial aid, be sure to use the INVOICE payment option. Family Tree DNA will then only bill you for the cost remaining after sponsorship funds are applied.  Do NOT use the standard order form on the FamilyTreeDNA web site, as it does not give the surname study discount. 

Scrape the inside of each cheek with one of the two toothbrush-like scrapers in the DNA kit. This is a PAINLESS process. The key to getting good samples is to rub the inside of the cheek for a FULL 60 seconds. Insert each scraper into one of the tubes provided. They contain fluid designed to arrest bacteria growth. Mail in your samples. Depending on the test requested, analysis and verification takes about two months. FamilyTreeDNA will rerun the tests at no additional cost or effort to you, if results are inconclusive.

Please complete the FamilyTreeDNA release form that accompanied the kit. It allows FamilyTreeDNA to notify our Group Administrator of your DNA results. You can limit, at any time, whether or not others who match your DNA closely, are notified of your results.
